Psychic void (মনস্তাত্বিক শূন্যতা)


 The concept of this blog germinated in some of my grey, obscure days when I perceived a certain void inside me which could not be fathomed by any mundanity. I started carrying a small Gita with me everywhere which gradually & patiently began to illuminate this void.

 এই ব্লগের ধারণাটি অঙ্কুরিত হয়েছিল আমার ধুসর, আবছা হয়ে যাওয়া দিনগুলিতে যখন আমার ভিতরে এক শূন্যতার আভাস পেয়েছিলাম । সেই শূন্যতার সীমার নির্দেশ কোন পার্থিব পরিমাপক দিয়ে পাইনি । একটি ছোট বাংলা গীতা সাথে রাখতে শুরু করলাম যা আমার এই শূন্যতাকে, ধৈর্য সহকারে, ধীরে ধীরে, আলোকিত করতে শুরু করল ।

Electronic void (বৈদ্যুতিন শূণ্যতা)


 With time, books began to get replaced by e-books but I could not find any suitable electronic replacement of my pocket bengali Gita. PDF's / scanned images were available but their texts are not flowable i.e. will not readjust with margin after zooming. Some unicode bengali blogs were available but proper reference was not cited.*

 সময়ের সাথে সাথে কাগজের বইএর বদলে বৈদ্যুতিন বই আসতে শুরু করেছে । কিন্তু আমার পকেট বাংলা গীতার কোন উপযুক্ত বৈদ্যুতিন বিকল্প পেলাম না । পি.ডি.এফ / স্ক্যান করা ছবি উপলব্ধ ছিল কিন্তু তাদের সমস্যা হল পাতার আকার বড় বা ছোট করার সময় লেখাগুলি, মার্জিনের সাথে সাযুয্য রেখে, প্রবাহিত হয় না । এর ফলে ই-বু্কের মত বৈদ্যুতিন মাধ্যমে পি.ডি.এফ / স্ক্যান করা পাতাগুলো পড়তে অসুবিধা হয় । কিছু ইউনিকোড বাংলা ব্লগের সন্ধান পেয়েছিলাম - কিন্তু সেগুলিতে ঠিক মত আকর গ্রন্থের উল্লেখ ছিল না ।

Filling the Electronic-void (বৈদ্যুতিন শূণ্যতা পূরণ)


 Hence, my humble effort began to type Gita in unicode bengali and to share/distribute it through cyber-world. In the meantime the google revolution, availability of affordable smartphones, emerging of unicode-compliant Internet browsers and development of easy phonetic Bengali typing software made my venture technically feasible.

 অতএব, শুরু হল ইউনিকোড বাংলায় গীতা টাইপ করে তা সাইবার জগতে ছড়িয়ে দেবার আমার এই বিনম্র প্রচেষ্টা । ইতিমধ্যে গুগল বিপ্লব, সুলভ স্মার্ট-ফোন, ইউনিকোড-অনুবর্তী ইন্টারনেট ব্রাউজার'এর উদ্ভব এবং সহজ ফোনেটিক বাংলা টাইপিং সফটওয়্যার'এর ক্রমবিকাশের ফলে আমার এই প্রয়াস প্রকৌশলগতভাবে কার্যকরী হয়েছে ।

Inner Quest (আভ্যন্তরীণ অন্বেষণ)


 But the critical energy to type the difficult highly sanskritized bengali translations by toiling late at nights was provided by many Internet flames I came across regarding Hindu Dharma**. These flames initially produced a surge of diffuse negative energy which with time sublimated into a focussed positive form that drove me to do more research while writing this blog and to begin a quest about my Hindu, Bengali, Indian identity.

 Thank you my dear flamers, for letting me tap, transform and assimilate your energy. I can now feel that even if you may not agree, we all are members of a small family of humanity floating like a droplet in the ocean of time.

 কিন্তু রাত জেগে সংস্কৃত শ্লোক অথবা সংস্কৃত আধারিত বাংলা অনুবাদ্গুলো টাইপ করার জন্য চরম শক্তি যুগিয়েছিল ইন্টারনেট'এ পাওয়া হিন্দু ধর্মের নানারকম অম্লমধুর সমালোচনাগুলো । গোড়াতে এই সমালোচনাগুলো আমার মধ্যে বিক্ষিপ্ত, ঋণাত্মক শক্তি সঞ্চার করলেও সময়ের সাথে তা এক কেন্দ্রীভূত, ধনাত্মক শক্তির উন্মেষ ঘটায় যা আমাকে আরও গবেষণা করতে এবং আমার হিন্দু, বাঙালি, ভারতীয় পরিচয়ের অর্থ অন্বেষণ করতে বিবশ করে তোলে ।

 ধন্যবাদ জানাই আমার প্রিয় সমালোচকগণদের, যাদের শক্তি আমি পরিবর্তিত করে আত্মস্থ করতে পেরেছি । আমি এখন বুঝতে পারি, আপনারা একমত না হলেও, আমরা সবাই মহাজাগতিক সময়ে বিন্দুর মত ভেসে চলা মনুষ্যত্ব-নামক এক ছোট পরিবারের সদস্য ।

Fathoming the Psychic-void (মনস্তাত্বিক শূন্যতা মাপা)


 With time this blog has become more of a research project - the initial linguistic jingoism & religious fervour have paved the way for a more sedate scholastic journey. Each post & page of this blog are milestones of this journey witnessing the stages of my rapid transformation like :-

1)from an indifferent Indian marked as a Hindu in the voter list

 2)from an ignorant, Hindu fanatic

 3)to someone better.

 and the journey has only begun...
সময়ের সাথে এই ব্লগটি এক গবেষণাধর্মী প্রোজেক্ট'এ রূপান্তরিত হয়ে গেছে । পূর্বের  সংকীর্ণ ভাষাপ্রীতি এবং উগ্র ধর্মীয় উৎসাহ বর্তমানের এই প্রশান্ত, জ্ঞানময় যাত্রার পথ প্রশস্ত করে দিয়েছে । এই ব্লগের প্রতিটি পাতা আমার জীবনের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গীর দ্রুত পরিবর্তনের পর্যায়গুলোর সাক্ষী হয়ে রয়েছে যেমন :-

  1. ভোটার তালিকায় হিন্দু হিসেবে চিহ্নিত এক নির্বিকার ভারতীয় থেকে,
  2. এক অজ্ঞ/অন্ধ হিন্দুত্ববাদী থেকে
  3. অপেক্ষাকৃত ভাল কেউ ।
এবং যাত্রা তো সবে শুরু ...
